Meetings

Troop 12 has Patrol meetings each Wednesday evening from 1900 (7:00pm) to 2030 (8:30pm) Windsor Place Villas in Hong Qiao. The Wednesday following a campout we do an activity; shooting, bowling, karting or something along those lines. Come join us! We meet during the school year from September to May.

Camping 2011 - 2012

We camp rain, hail or shine in destinations all over Shanghai and neighboring provinces. To meet the camping requirements for rank advancement quickly, we camp on Friday and Saturday nights and return on Sunday afternoons. Other arrangements are made for busy schedules of indvidual scouts.

    October 21, 22 & 23 - The Richard Horak Annual Bike Hike MeadowBrook Equestrian Farm
    November 18, 19 & 20 - 100 Flowers Recreation Area (hiking, archery, laser-tag!)
    December 10 - Merit Badge College
    January 20, 21 & 22 - short month, squeezed between xmas and new year, no campout
    February 24, 25 & 26 - Chong Ming Island
    March 16, 17 & 18 - Dafeng National Nature Preserve - Extant Elk
    April 15, 16, 17 & 18 - Hailuogou Glacier Park - Sichuan Winter Camping
    May 18, 19 & 20 - Shi Gong Cun on Tai Hu - Peninsular Exploration
    June - No Plan
    July - Second Summer Camp in Shanghai - 30 Mile Radius Historic Trail.
    August - No Plan
Camping tips:
The troop committee finalizes reservations about 1-2 months before the actual trip. The boys finalize the menus and activity planning at the regular troop meeting 1 week before the trip (10 days).
The troop provides cooking gear and we ask the boys to bring tent, sleeping bag, scout handbook, uniform and clothing appropriate to the weather.
If you are interested in serving as a volunteer please contact us at troop12@goebelfamily.com. Troop 12's Rain, Hail or Shine credo means we never miss a chance for camping, fellowship and a good camp fire.
Review your handbooks for signatures needed, we have covered a lot of activities over the past few weeks and you need to be recognized for your accomplishments.
Please bring Registration forms and make sure to choose the right one, whether you are a new scout, boy scout or an adult leader and return it to a Scout Leader...
Please bring Medical Forms (only parts A & B) and return to a Scout Leader...
